“One of my very, very favorite things I did with Amanda was create my vision board. I’ve plastered it everywhere and look at it daily, reviewing it image by image on a weekly basis to remind myself of what I want. Amanda absolutely nailed it on the first try—which didn’t surprise me in the least—and it’s more magical than I could have expected to have this beautiful summary of all that I want.”

When I committed to Future You, I was feeling completely overwhelmed. I wasn’t sure why; I just knew that the way I felt was unsustainable and it was time to ask for help.

Amanda helped me see that I was trying to do too much all at one time, feeling like every idea for change that popped into my head needed to be acted on immediately. My day-to-day life—staying at home with my almost-two-year-old while also trying to run a business—was often stressful instead of joyful.

Amanda suggested we work on decision-making skills, and I immediately felt a sense of relief, knowing she was right. Through our work together, we created specific systems—a schedule that meets my needs right now, a way to save and access information that’s truly important to me, a time-tracking habit that keeps my expectations in check—but we also developed filtering skills within me that helped me make decisions on the fly and make changes to those systems as needed.

I loved the rhythm of our calls, homework, and manifesto delivery. It was satisfying to see our progress in a physical form, and to know that I was being held accountable for things she’d taken time to write down and beautifully design.

And one of my very, very favorite things was the vision board. I’ve plastered it everywhere and look at it daily, reviewing it image by image on a weekly basis to remind myself of what I want. She absolutely nailed it on the first try—which didn’t surprise me in the least—and it’s more magical than I could have expected to have this beautiful summary of all that I want.

The result is that I feel less stressed and more capable, relaxed, and open. I don’t hold on to things quite so tightly, and I have more trust in myself to be able to handle what comes my way, despite the fact that things remain as changing and unpredictable as possible.

Amanda exceeded my expectations in every way—not because I ever doubted her for a moment, but because I doubted myself. I felt I was beyond help in some ways, and she showed me over and over that those fears were unfounded. She has changed the fundamental ways I show up in my own life and work every day, and I could not be more grateful.

“I’m a pretty type-A creative, so I didn’t really consider that there was a different way, a better way even, that I could be managing my time. Our work together helped me see that. I went into the program with an open mind and willingness to try new systems and I couldn’t have asked for better results...The program gave me the tools and resources to approach my day with clarity, energy, and confidence. The experience was truly invaluable!”

As someone who works as a full-time design director, has a number of creative side projects and is currently renovating a home, I had difficulty setting boundaries and staying on-task, pushing everything forward as planned and remaining focused 100% of the workday.

With my increasing workload, it all started to feel like a constant uphill battle. I was exhausted, getting unusually frustrated, and overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks. Something had to give.

Once I heard about Future You and Amanda’s approach to helping creatives manage their time and priorities more effectively so they can stop feeling constantly overwhelmed, I decided to give it a go. What we uncovered and resolved in a few short weeks was amazing.

I’m a pretty type-A creative, so I didn’t really consider that there was a different way, a better way even, that I could be managing my time. Our work together helped me see that.

I went into the program with an open mind and willingness to try new systems and I couldn’t have asked for better results.

During our time together we uncovered what my ideal life would actually look like so that I could stop falling into the comparison trap. We pinpointed a clear goal to become more conscious of how I was spending my energy between all the things. I went back to a paper-and-pen method for goal setting and task management, and each week we worked towards identifying, simplifying and actioning a routine that is right for me. I even started volunteering at a local animal shelter on Friday afternoons, a result of setting clearer boundaries and finding a better work/life balance. The adjustments were tough but the results were incredible.

The program gave me the tools and resources to approach my day with clarity, energy, and confidence. The experience was truly invaluable!
